4. COURSE DESCRIPTION AND TEACHING METHODOLOGY

In the lectures will alternate the exposition of the theory and methods of general approach to the resolution of examples of exercises ((M1 - Lectures, M2 - Exhibition of theory and general examples, M3 - introductory and troubleshooting activities M5 - Lectures in large group: Other) .With a total of 45 hours and autonomous work by the student estimated 67.5 hours.En these classes the CC7, CT2, CT4 skills will be developed.

For practical classes in groups of solving the practical problems and laboratory happen. (M11 - Solving exercises, M6 - practical activities, M7 - Classes in small group: Seminars, M8 - Classes in small group: Debates) In these classes the CT4, CB3, CB4, CC7, CT2, CT4, CT6 skills will be developed .

Collective tutorials will deal with collateral aspects necessary for the correct numerical resolution of problems in order to minimize errors and achieve an appropriate level of accuracy.

Students with special educational needs should contact the Student Attention Service (Servicio de Atención y Ayudas al Estudiante) in order to receive the appropriate academic support

5. ASSESSMENT METHODOLOGY

A written final exam will be conducted (to assess CB3, CB4, CC7, CT2, CT6, CB2 skills) as general assessment procedure. This exam will consist mainly of exercises and practical problems, in which both the method of approach and resolution used, as accuracy and expression of the results will be assessed. The review may include brief questions of a theoretical nature.

For all calls of course other evaluation criteria such as attendance and participation in class, reports of laboratory practice and delivery of activities proposed by the teacher are taken into consideration (to assess CT4, CC7, CT2, CT6, skills CB2 ); that will influence the final grade as indicated in the table above.

Regarding the written exam, students need to obtain a minimum score of five points over ten to pass the course and take into account the practice calification.

Attendance at practices and present the proposed exercises in the stipulated time is mandatory to pass the course in each call.

The course is approved or suspended in each edition in its entirety.
