4. COURSE DESCRIPTION AND TEACHING METHODOLOGY

In lectures (M1)  the functioning of some of the Operations of Separation that are in use in the Chemical Engineering will explain of conceptual way.

The hours dedicated to the classes of practices, will begin with a seminar on the unitary operation in question (M7), from which exercises will be able to solve type (M11) and we will finish each of the topics with a space for the debate (M8).

Students with special educational needs should contact the Student Attention Service (Servicio de Atención y Ayudas al Estudiante) in order to receive the appropriate academic support

5. ASSESSMENT METHODOLOGY

To overcome the subject, the students it must overcome an  theoretical - practical exam that will suppose 60 % of the total weight of the evaluation (evalua all the results of learning). The practical work will consist in the resolution of different cases - studies that the students must deliver along the course, his weight in the evaluation will be 30 % (asessing all the results of learning). Finally the attendance will be controlled, valuing the participation and attitude activates in class, which will suppose 10 % of the final mark.

In extraordinary call students must have ensured to pass the subject and, where appropriate, obtain the highest grade, by the correct completion of the planned evaluation tests. However, when practical activities are compulsory to overcome the subject matter, they must have been completed in order to attend to this call."
