Lectures will be used for theoretical topics. It will generate debate between the students and teacher in the topics related to the design and development of products. During the academic year, a series of practices will be carried out in the design laboratory, related to the course's topics. These practices will aim at the two-dimensional and three-dimensional representation of creative industrial designs in CAD environments. A series of exercises, both individual and group, will be developed on aspects of the subject, with the possibility of exposition by students of the work developed.
Practical content:
Practice 1: Innovation in industrial design. Influencing
factors. Drrawings in CAD environment
Practice 2: CAD component drawings.
Practice 3: CAD component drawings. Getting the challenge
Practice 4: Layout of assemblies in CAD. Conducting Surveys
Practice 5: CAD file management for prototype fabrication.
Obtaining requirements
Practice 6: Obtaining technical specifications. Generating
the design concept. Patent Search
Practice 7: Validation of the design by simulation
Practice 8: Detailed product design in CAD environment.
Selection of design concept. Review of components in manufacturing
and assembly line design for the product
Practice 9: Detailed product design in CAD environment.
Ecodesign. Ergonomic review. Manufacture of prototypes. Validation
with clients
Practice 10: Presentation of audiovisual designs and
activities
Students with special educational needs should contact the Student Attention Service (Servicio de Atención y Ayudas al Estudiante) in order to receive the appropriate academic support
It will be necessary to pass the course a grade of 5 points in the final exam (with a weighting of 42% of the final grade) and the positive performance of the individual and group exercises and the programmed practices. The works and / or practices will be carried out according to the criteria established by the teacher and will have to be delivered within the deadlines established by them. The weight of the scheduled work will be 50% of the final grade. Class attendance and participation will be rated with 8% of the final grade. The note of the personal work will be kept during the calls of the academic course.
