Students will be trained to use appropriate English related to the following content areas:
- Tour operators
- Tourist destinations
- Accommodation and catering
- Guided tours
- Niche Tourism
- Hotel management
The subject is based on the integration of theoretical and practice lessons. Theoretical lessons will be more focused on the acquisition of the basic linguistic components of the subject and practice lessons will be focused on the use of English in different types of activities and the development of the communicative skills.
Students with special educational needs should contact the Student Attention Service (Servicio de Atención y Ayudas al Estudiante) in order to receive the appropriate academic support
The students' knowledge and competence will be assessed taking into account the following evaluation criteria:
- Attendance and participation in class (20%)
- Result in the exam (50%)
- Continuous assessment work (30%)
If the student is not able to attend lessons for officially documented reasons, s/he will be evaluated exclusively through a longer and more complete exam.
