3. CONTENT DESCRIPTION

PLANNING IN PHYSICAL EDUCATION (II).

Structure and elements of the classroom program, the teaching units and the Physical Education session.

Definition and preparation of Planning and Programming.

Definition and elaboration of Didactic Units.

Definition and preparation of Physical Education Sessions for ESO, Bachillerato and FP.

 

 OTHER ASPECTS TO CONSIDER IN THE EF.

The Physical Education faculty and their interaction with students. Teaching behavior The motivation.

Types of motivation. Motivation in Physical Education classes. The organization and control of the class.

Discipline. Use of time. Position and evolution of the teacher. Socio-affective climate in the classroom.

Hygiene and body posture, implications for adolescent development. Prevention and treatment.

Exercises contraindicated. Preventive aspects in the practice of physical activity.

Coeducation and equality of the sexes in the school context. Stereotypes and sexist attitudes in Physical Education: educational treatment through the objectives, contents, methodology and teaching activities of Physical Education.

Current trends in physical activity and sports: New sports and physical activities. Application of sports management formulas. Entrepreneurial actions and other possibilities of access to the labor market.

 INNOVATION AND RESEARCH IN EF AND SPORTS.

Innovative processes in PE and sports: publications, contributions to congresses, other perspectives of knowledge of Physical Activity.

Research aspects most relevant. Investigation action. Content analysis Case studies and tests to assess physical condition and other dimensions.

4. COURSE DESCRIPTION AND TEACHING METHODOLOGY

The classes will be eminently participatory and practical. They will be based on the simulation of contexts and cases of school, out-of-school and sports PE, from which different models of programming, Didactic Units and Sessions will be designed.

The ultimate goal is the training of the EF planning competence of the future teachers.

Students with special educational needs should contact the Student Attention Service (Servicio de Atención y Ayudas al Estudiante) in order to receive the appropriate academic support

5. ASSESSMENT METHODOLOGY

Attendance to classes and active participation; Overcome the established tests; Preparation and exhibition of the requested works on the scheduled dates. The students must prepare an integrated session within a Didactic Unit of any of the blocks of contents of the Physical Education curriculum. The test will consist of oral and public presentation and defense of the proposals made.

In the extraordinary call for those people who have not fulfilled the requirements established in the ordinary call it will be necessary to pass an exam as well as to elaborate and deliver all the works requested in the ordinary call. These works will be delivered by email at the maximum the day established in the extraordinary call for evaluation.
