4. COURSE DESCRIPTION AND TEACHING METHODOLOGY

- Lectures (3,2 ECTS credits): theoretical academic sessions with the support of ICT which teaching materials, references, Internet sites will be provided, in which the student can continue the work personally, this activity will acquire the skills 1-4.
- Lab (compulsory): Problems and seminars ( 2.6 ECTS credits): the laboratory practice will be developed in the laboratory instrumentation. They consist of conducting experiments in a guided way. They will be in groups work and students, with the support of the practice script, perform the procedures corresponding experimental. The results will be analyzed and discussed globally in tutoring with the teacher. Thisactivity will acquire competencies 5-6. Problems and seminars: resolution of questions on the subject worked as well as exposition and defense of work done bygroups of students on theme of environmental and related materials previously worked interest. This activity will acquire competencies 5-6.
- Tutorials in small groups ( 0.2 ECTS credits) for discussion on topics of interest working on matters. This activity will acquire competencies 5-6 .

Students with special educational needs should contact the Student Attention Service (Servicio de Atención y Ayudas al Estudiante) in order to receive the appropriate academic support

5. ASSESSMENT METHODOLOGY

An evaluation of the theoretical and practical training in which all are valued generic skills and specific skills and content will be used in the different thematic units proposed. Specific skills and attitudes will be addressed in specific activities of groupwork, as well as under other specific activities such as debates attitude.

Theoretical exam: 50% qualification. This part will allow the evaluation of the competences CE-33, CE-2, CE-24 and CB-1.

Study of problems and real cases: 35% rating. This evaluation will focus on the competences CT-2, CE-24, CE-2 and CB-5. Class and laboratory practices + field activities. This test will allow to evaluate basically the competences CT-2, CE-24, CE-33 and CB-5. It will include: Continuous evaluation through assistance and delivery of the activities developed during the course, and assistance and delivery of resolved activities carried out during the scheduled field work.

Assistance to the personalized tutorials, presentation of works and debates: 10% qualification. It will allow the evaluation of all competences, although especially the competences CT-2 and CE-2. The following will be also considered: Team activity and assistance to follow-up tutoring. Assistance and participation in the debates. In addition, 5% of the grade will be given for attendance to class.
