Activities of laboratory classes.
Preparation and chromatographic analysis of essential oils and extracts.
Chemical reactions on secondary metabolites.
Students have (i) to attend theory lectures; (ii) to attend laboratory classes, perform the experiments planned by the Lecturer, and prepare a written report on the work developed in the lab; (iii) to search information on a course topic and give a short oral speech; (iv) to visit a research center; (v) to pass a final test on concepts learnt in the course.
Students with special educational needs should contact the Student Attention Service (Servicio de Atención y Ayudas al Estudiante) in order to receive the appropriate academic support
Ordinary date
(i) Attendance theory lectures: 5%. (ii) Attendance laboratory classes, good performance of experiments, and evaluation of the written report: 20%. (iii) Search for information on chemical databases and give a short oral speech: 10%. (iv) Attendance a visit of a research center: 5%. (v) Final test on concepts learnt in the course: 60%.
Extraordinary date
The student could choose between two options:
a) The same described on the ordinary date.
b) Final test on concepts learnt in the course: 100%.
