4. COURSE DESCRIPTION AND TEACHING METHODOLOGY

The nine first sessions (four hours each) will be devoted to the synthesis and characterization of compounds. The remaining sessions will be used in seminars on Instrumental Techniques. During the last session, the exam will be done.

Students with special educational needs should contact the Student Attention Service (Servicio de Atención y Ayudas al Estudiante) in order to receive the appropriate academic support

5. ASSESSMENT METHODOLOGY

ASSESSED COMPETENCES:

S1 Attendance and exercises (10%): B8, P5
S2 Exam (30%): P5, CE3, CE16
S4 Daily work and lab notebook (60%): P1, P3, P5, B8, B10, CE3

WARNING :

1.- To pass the course, attendance at lab sessions is mandatory.

2.-  Individual parts of the assessment must be passed separately.

3.- In the exam, basic mistakes -such as formulation, stoichiometry, periodic table, electronic configurations, etc.- will lead to the total cancellation of the question.

4.- In order to accomplish the provisions of the rules of assessment and academic regime (art. 18.4), the extraordinary exam will comprise the same three parts assessed in the ordinary call.
