4. COURSE DESCRIPTION AND TEACHING METHODOLOGY

The methodology followed is participatory and collaborative, with interventions both teachers and students and seeking at all times the acquisition of learning in a reflective, innovative and inquiring in the sources of information and in the contexts of Social Education.

The theoretical classes combine the exposition of the contents by the teacher with the reflection and comments of the same by the students, as well as the realization of activities related to these contents in the theoretical classes.

The practical classes contemplate the development of research projects in Social Education, documentation, review of documentary databases, realization of research projects, resolution of cases, data analysis, etc. Performing in some cases in the classroom and in other cases in computer rooms.

Students with special educational needs should contact the Student Attention Service (Servicio de Atención y Ayudas al Estudiante) in order to receive the appropriate academic support

5. ASSESSMENT METHODOLOGY

Evaluation of the Theoretical-Practical Content (70%):

The theoretical and practical contents of the subject will be evaluated by carrying out a knowledge test (exam on the official calendar date) of the 4 content blocks of the subject. The test will consist of a question of development, a question of practical application (problems, assumptions, etc.) and a set of questions of closed answer type test. The exam will have a value of 70% (weighted) of the total value of the subject.

Evaluation of the Practices and Research Work: 20% (weighted)

The attendance, participation and correct execution of the Practices-Seminars, will have up to 10% of the total value of the subject. To overcome the subject it is precious to attend and perform the internship.

The realization of a work or research project in Social Education with an empirical approach and respecting the rules for carrying out these reports and public defense in class, will have a value of up to 20% of the subject.

The PATIE-ERASMUS students will have to contact the teacher at the beginning of the semester to configure and adapt their training process.
