3. CONTENT DESCRIPTION

Social Anthropology, Ethnography and Ethnology. Culture as a concept and reality. Art as a cultural category. historical tour of the Anthropology of Art as socio-anthropological subdiscipline. Art, artistic creation esteticay experience in "primitive" and non-Western cultures. The social and cultural functions of the Art. Art, ethnocentrism, multiculturalism and miscegenation. Art in the age of globalization.

4. COURSE DESCRIPTION AND TEACHING METHODOLOGY

Students must realiazar two jobs: summary of a series of readings, proposals from the virtual platform. And second, theoretical work (paper), where through a work of art seeks the general idea that arises in the course.

We must deliver two works (paper):
