- THE SYLLABUS AND ITS METHODOLOGICAL IMPLICATIONS
- LESSON PLANNING (MEDIUM AND SHORT-TERM PLANNING)
- COURSE PLANNING (LONG-TERM PLANNING)
- ORGANIZING STUDENTS' WORK: CLASSROOM WORK AND HOMEWORK ASSIGNMENT
- CORRECTIVE FEEDBACK
- TESTING
Theory lessons will take place through an interactive presentation of the contents of the subject. In other words, the discussion of theory will be open to students' questions and comments. The starting point of the presentation of theoretical contents may also be a brainstorming conducted in order to explore students' previous knowledge and construct the new knowledge on the basis of previous knowledge.
Lessons will often combine theory and practice since they may be based on self-reflection activities or on activities in which students must apply the methodological principles studied in the theory. Part of the practice will consist in analysing some materials produced by teachers and students and doing activities related to the planning of teaching and testing students' knowledge.
Students will have opportunities to be tutored and orientated by the teacher when doing autonomous or group work in preparing essays and/or oral presentations.
Students with special educational needs should contact the Student Attention Service (Servicio de Atención y Ayudas al Estudiante) in order to receive the appropriate academic support
The student's final mark will be based on:
- attendance and participation in the different sessions: 10%
- continuous assessment of students' work: 30%
- written exam: 60%
The continuous assessment of students' work will only be taken into account on the basis of regular attendance, that is, if the student has been attending at least an 80% of the total number of lessons. Those students who cannot attend lessons for officially documented reasons will have the opportunity to be evaluated through a longer test including theory and practice.
