Practical Program
- Description and management of the optical microscope. Observation of microorganisms by simple staining. Bacterial mobility.
- Differential staining of bacteria. Gram and Ziehl Neelsen stains.
- Staining of bacterial structures: capsules and spores.
- Antibiotic sensitivity. Susceptibility testing on solid media. Antibiograms.
- Identification and management of basic material in laboratory of Biochemistry. Preparation of reagents and buffers. PH determination.
- Glucose determination in serum.
- Lipids determination in serum.
- Enzimatic activity determination.
- Protein concentration determination.
Lectures and laboratory practices taught in Spanish.
Tutoring in English. Homeworks and theory exam in English.
