4. COURSE DESCRIPTION AND TEACHING METHODOLOGY

METHODOLOGY OF TEACHING AND LEARNING, AND ITS RELATIONSHIP WITH THE COMPETENCES THAT THE STUDENT MUST ACQUIRE   ACTIVITY: Expository activities of the teacher and the students (theoretical exposition, seminars, presentation of works ...). Big group. CREDITS: 1.5. HOURS: 35. TEACHING AND LEARNING METHODOLOGY: Large group and teaching groups, for general and specific learning of the theoretical and practical contents of the subject. Theoretical and practical classes. ICT support. RELATIONSHIP WITH COMPETENCES: Establishment of the connection between content and competencies described. ACTIVITY: Practical activities (practices inside and outside the classroom, professional visits ...). Teaching groups CREDITS: 0.5. HOURS: 12.5. TEACHING AND LEARNING METHODOLOGY: Groups of work and personal dedication of the student, where the students can experiment autonomously and in group the theoretical and practical contents collected in the program of the subject. RELATIONSHIP WITH THE COMPETENCES: Acquisition of skills related to the ability to analyze, research, intervention and change. ACTIVITY: Activities in small groups. Working group CREDITS: 0.5. HOURS: 12.5. TEACHING AND LEARNING METHODOLOGY: Collective tutorials to attend small groups in: theoretical-practical activities to propose and solve applications of theory, problems, activities of proposal or supervision of directed works, clarification of doubts about theory, problems, exercises, programs , readings or other proposed tasks, presentation, exhibition, debate or comments on individual or small group work, direction of group work. RELATIONSHIP WITH THE COMPETENCES: Acquisition of skills related to the ability to analyze, research, intervention and change. ACTIVITY: Tutoring (joint teacher-student follow-up, both individually and in small groups) CREDITS: 0.5. HOURS: 12.5. TEACHING AND LEARNING METHODOLOGY: Supervision. Work groups and personal relationship with the student. RELATIONSHIP WITH COMPETENCES: Monitoring, reflection and adjustment between training activities-content and competences. ACTIVITY: Personal work (individual or team work, preparation of presentations, personal study ...) CREDITS: 3. HOURS: 75. TEACHING AND LEARNING METHODOLOGY: Groups of work and personal dedication of the student, where students can learn from experience the dimensions that operationalize each of the competences to acquire with the subject. RELATIONSHIP WITH THE COMPETENCES: Acquisition-internalization of the binomial developed contents-required competences.

Students with special educational needs should contact the Student Attention Service (Servicio de Atención y Ayudas al Estudiante) in order to receive the appropriate academic support

5. ASSESSMENT METHODOLOGY

The evaluation system proposed allows to verify that the students have acquired the competences indicated for the subject, both specific (E3, E4, E7), and general (G1, G3 and G4).

 

In the same way, through the different assessment instruments it is intended to verify that the students have acquired the established learning results: they have the capacity to make a critical assessment of the situation of the elderly in all areas (DISMAY1), which has the capacity to information management (DISMAY2), oral and written communication (DISMAY3), which has the ability to apply theoretical and practical knowledge in problem solving (DISMAY4) and which is capable of analyzing and providing solutions to the new demands that are produced as a consequence of the emergence of dependence (DISMAY6)

 

EVALUATION SYSTEM

 

Compulsory final exam (evaluated from 0 to 8).

 

Final practical work with oral and written presentation (0 to 2 points), done individually or in a group (maximum of 5 students).
