Presentation by the Master's Coordinator of the objectives of this subject, and of the regulatory aspects related to the preparation and defense of the Master's Thesis (TFM).

Presentation, defense and evaluation of the Master's Thesis.

This subject can be considered divided into three parts:
1) An initial part in which the student will receive basic information about the structure of these types of work, required contents, etc. Likewise, the student must prepare a Master's Thesis proposal endorsed by a Master's Director, for which purpose he / she must proceed to the selection of objectives, review of preliminary background, work plan and expected results.

2) Execution of the Master's Thesis project in accordance with the proposed plan once it has been approved by the Academic Committee of the Master.

3) Presentation, Defense and Evaluation of the Master's Thesis by the Jury.

Students with special educational needs should contact the Student Attention Service (Servicio de Atención y Ayudas al Estudiante) in order to receive the appropriate academic support

The evaluation criteria will attend to:
a) Specific aspects of the TFM:
Clarity in the general approach to work.
Adaptation of structure and content to the type of work.
Clarity in the establishment of the background and objectives.
Adequacy of the materials, methods, procedures and criteria used.
Correspondence between the objectives stated in the original TFM proposal (approved at the time by the Academic Committee of the Master) and the discussion of the results obtained.
Adaptation of the conclusions to the results obtained.
Use, if appropriate, of adequate and updated bibliography.
Adaptation and adaptation to standards of the content of each of the documentary sections.

b) Formal aspects:
Quality in the structuring of work.
Quality of the writing and technical lexicon used.
Quality in the presentation of tables, figures and plans.
Quality in the presentation of the bibliography (citations and references).

c) Aspects related to the defense of work:

Clarity in the exhibition of work. The appropriate vocabulary is used in each circumstance and the technical lexicon is used appropriately when necessary.
Degree of synthesis and adaptation of the structure of the exhibition.
Quality of the support material used.
Degree of maturity and knowledge demonstrated in the debate after the exhibition.
