3. CONTENT DESCRIPTION

This is a compulsory course that provides students with theoretical information about the development of teaching materials for CLIL implementation, along with practical orientations for the design and development of learning tools. Its main contents are:

  1. RATIONALE AND BASIC PRINCIPLES OF MATERIALS DEVELOPMENT

2. CURRENT LANGUAGE LEARNING TRENDS. IMPLICATIONS FOR MATERIALS DEVELOPMENT


a. Text-driven

b. Task-based appproaches. The CLIL case.

c. Project work.


3. CLIL ICT MATERIALS DEVELOPMENT


a. Basic criteria for producing ICT CLIL Materials

b. Specific criteria


4. PRINCIPLES FOR DESIGNING A CLIL lesson

The proposed order of contents may be subject to future modifications in order to facilitate the understanding of the different topics of the subject.

4. COURSE DESCRIPTION AND TEACHING METHODOLOGY

The methodology of the course will be based on the following activities:

  • Visualization of the uploaded videos and Power Point presentations designed to facilitate students' understanding of the different topics
  • Autonomous study of the written documents and materials that present the contents of the course
  • Resolution of tasks and tests related to the different topics
  • Participation in the forum of discussion about the contents of the course
  • Paper/essay writing

5. ASSESSMENT METHODOLOGY

The student's final mark will be based on the following criteria:

  • Continuous assessment of the student's work developed through the forum of discussion and the application of  the contents studied to the resolution of the virtual activities and tests proposed (60%).
  • Written paper/essay representative of the contents of the course (40%)
