Unit 1 . Introduction to industrial design.

Topic 1. Industrial installations design.

Topic 2. Automatization and control.

Unit 2 . Design of facilities in the olive oil industry

Topic 3. 'Patios' design

Topic 4. Design of machinery for olive mills 

Topic 5. Design of  machinery for oil extration plants 

Topic 6. Design of machinery for olive oil refineries 

Topic 7. Olive-oil cellar design and olive-oil packaging

Unit 3 . Environmental aspects and civil works

4. COURSE DESCRIPTION AND TEACHING METHODOLOGY

A1-Lecturing/Large group teaching (15 h)

A2-Practical classes (12 h)

A14-Technical visits (3 h) 

Students with special educational needs should contact the Student Attention Service (Servicio de Atención y Ayudas al Estudiante) in order to receive the appropriate academic support

5. ASSESSMENT METHODOLOGY

Class attendance (10% of the global rating)

5% for attending the technical visit. 5% for attending the rest of the course.

Learning outcomes: R2, R3, R37, R38 y R5.

Competencies: all the competencies.

Written exam (60% of the global rating)

There is not partial exam. The exam will consist of both theoretical short answer and problem-solving questions. Two sections have equal weight. The minimum score to pass the exam is 4.5.

Competencies: CE10, CE12, CE13, CE29, CEE1, CEE2 y CG5.

Review exercise workbook (15% of the global rating)

Learning outcomes: R2, R38 y R5.

Group work (15% of the global rating)

7.5%-Quality of the written project report.

7.5%-Oral presentation of the project.
