4. COURSE DESCRIPTION AND TEACHING METHODOLOGY

This subject is a combination of classwork and the student's autonomous work, without forgetting the importance to have a collaborative working environment. In this way, the methodological modalities used are the following ones:

  1. Theoretical lessons.
  2. Practical trainings. In these hours, dialectal texts will be analyzed in their phonetic-phonological, morphosyntactic and lexical levels.
  3. Workshops.
  4. A written paper about Linguistics Geography (in group). 
  5. Oral presentations (in group).
  6. Exam.

Students with special educational needs should contact the Student Attention Service (Servicio de Atención y Ayudas al Estudiante) in order to receive the appropriate academic support

5. ASSESSMENT METHODOLOGY

The subject will be evaluated with the following instruments:

  1. Theoretical-practical written exam (70 %). The exam is worth 7 points.
  2. Written work and oral presentation in group (20 %).
  3. Class attendance and active participation in the obligatory readings and the commentary of dialectal texts (10 %).
