UNIT I: NURSING CARE PATIENT WITH ALTERATION OF THE NEED FOR MOVEMENT

Theme 1. Diseases that affect the need for movement.

Theme 2. Assessment of movement and nursing diagnoses.

Theme 3. Nursing Interventions related to movement problems.

 

UNIT II: NURSING CARE PATIENT WITH ALTERATION OF THE NEED FOR SECURITY (II)

Theme 4. Care of wounds, sutures and bandages.to bowel elimination problems.

Theme 5. Prevention and care of pressure ulcers.

 

UNIT III: NURSING CARE PATIENT WITH ALTERATION OF THE NEED FOR COMMUNICATION

Theme 6. Diseases affecting the need for communication.

Theme 7. Assessment of the need for communication and nursing diagnoses.

Theme 8. Nursing interventions related to communication problems.

 

UNIT IV: NURSING CARE PATIENT WITH ALTERATION OF ELIMINATION

Theme 9. Diseases affecting the urinary excretion.

Theme 10. Assessment of urinary excretion and nursing diagnoses.

Theme 11. Nursing interventions related to urinary elimination problems.

Theme 12. Diseases affecting the intestinal elimination.

Theme 13. Assessment of intestinal elimination and nursing diagnoses.

Theme 14. Nursing interventions related.

 

PRACTICAL CLASSES:

1. Bandage application technique.
2. Immobilization with plaster and cares of the patient in the upper extremity.
3. Immobilization with plaster and care of the patients in the lower extremity.
4. Wound care. Suture techniques.
5. Care of pressure ulcers.
6. Care of the patient with neurological disorders.
7. Case of a patient with cognitive and communication.
8. Collection of urine samples and bladder catheterization.
9. Management of constipation / impaction and rectal catheterization. Care of ostomies.
10. Care of the patient with renal function replacement: hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis.

4. COURSE DESCRIPTION AND TEACHING METHODOLOGY

Lectures with active student participation.

Practical workshops and seminars simulation work (case studies) in small groups.

Students individual and in-groups work. Assignments guided and supported by the e-learning web of the University of Jaen.

5. ASSESSMENT METHODOLOGY

Attendance and participation in classroom activities. 10%

Written test (examination) of knowledge: 50%

Online test: 10%

Attendance and active participation in seminars and workshops in small groups: 20%

Guided individual or group work: 20 %

 

Attendance at ALL practical classes or seminars is mandatory.

The knowledge assessment test must be overcome to consider the weight of the other aspects including the assessment of the subject.
