3. CONTENT DESCRIPTION

DEVELOPED CONTENTS:

The TFM will be able to belong to one of the three following modalities:

a) Engineering Projects: relative to the design, production, development and/or installation of products, works, facilities, services or software, developing, in general, the documental parts such as, planes, specifications and budget and, contemplating, in their case, the phase of material execution.

b) Technical studies: technical, organizational and/or economic studies of character, relative to products, teams, systems, services, etc. that analyse design aspects, planning, production, administration, exploitation and any other characteristic of the engineering, relating, when it proceeds, technical alternatives with economic evaluations, as well as discussion and valuation of the results.

c) Theoretical works/experimental: they constitute a contribution to the technique in the environment of the engineering including, when it proceeds, economic evaluation and discussion and valuation of the results.


Independently of their modality, the TFM will contemplate the realization of a memory that includes the annexes and graphic documentation that it proceeds (in the appropriate formats indicated in the proposal of TFM) and the presentation and oral defense of the same one before a tribunal.


The student will send to the auxiliary Registration of the EPSJ the TFM for the procedure, formats and supports settled down by the Commission of Academic Coordination of the Master. (in charge of approving the proposals of TFM) and in the norms of style that the Center publishes . Anyway, it will be send a digital copy of the memory of the TFM.

4. COURSE DESCRIPTION AND TEACHING METHODOLOGY

The methodology of the subject Trabajo Fin de Másterr (TFM) is based on the student's autonomous work guided by a tutor. It consists of the following activities:


1. Tutoring: in the one that the necessary orientation will be received for the realization of the TFM, being introduced in a detailed way the objectives, content, methodologies to apply and the formal and specific requirements that will determine the quality of the TFM. In these tutorial sessions the proposal of the TFM approved by the Commission of Academic Coordination of the Master will be explained clearly, as well as the documents and formats of these that the TFM will contain.

2. Realization of the work: the TFM will be developed at one time equivalent to 12 ECTS and during its realization the academic tutor will assist the doubts of the students and they will be given, if it is necessary, indications on how to continue with the proposed work.


3. Delivery, exhibition, defense and evaluation of the TFM: it will be carried out as it determines the normative one on the official masteres in the university of Jaén and according to specific norms that the Commission of Academic Coordination of the Master makes public

Students with special educational needs should contact the Student Attention Service (Servicio de Atención y Ayudas al Estudiante) in order to receive the appropriate academic support

5. ASSESSMENT METHODOLOGY

The evaluation approaches will assist to:

a) Own characteristic of the TFM:

- Clarity in the general approach of the work. 

- Adaptation of the structure and of the content to the work type. 

- Clarity in the establishment of the antecedents and of the objectives. 

- Adaptation of the materials, methods, procedures and used approaches. 

- Correspondence among the objectives outlined in the proposal of the original TFM (approved in their moment by the Commission of Academic Coordination of the Master) and the  discussion of the obtained results. 

- Adaptation of the conclusions to the obtained results. 

- Use, if it proceeds, of appropriate and up-to-date bibliography. 

- Adaptation to norms of the structure of the project. 

- availability of all the necessary documents. 

- Adaptation and adaptation to norms of the content of each one of the documental sections. 

b) Formal aspects:

- Quality in the structuring of the work. 

- Quality of the writing and lexicon technical employee. 

- Quality in the presentation of charts, figures and planes. 

- Quality in the presentation of the bibliography (you mention and references). 

c) Relative aspects to the defense of the work:

- Clarity in the exhibition of the work. The vocabulary is used adapted in each circumstance and an appropriate use of the technical lexicon is made when it is necessary. 

- Synthesis grade and adaptation of the structure of the exhibition. 

- Quality of the material of used support. 

- Adaptation at the available time. 

- Grade of maturity and of knowledge demonstrated in the later debate to the exhibition.
