BLOCK A: INTRODUCTION TO STRUCTURES

 

LESSON 1.- Introduction to the design of structures.

LESSON 2.- Loads on buildings

LESSON 3.- Supports and connections in structures.


 

BLOCK B: ARTICULATED FRAMES.  

LESSON 4.- Isostatic Articulated Frames.

LESSON 5.- Hyperstatic Articulated Frames.

LESSON 6.- Energy Theorems.


 

BLOCK C: FRAMED STRUCTURES

 

LESSON 7.- Introduction to the study of framed structures.

LESSON 8.- Intraslational Framed Structures.

LESSON 9.- Translational Framed Structures. .

LESSON 10.- Moment-distribution method.


 

BLOCK D: INTRODUCTION TO MATRIX METHODS

4. COURSE DESCRIPTION AND TEACHING METHODOLOGY

During the lectures, the sections of the official program of the subject will be developed. Student participation may take place at any time and doubts will be solved at the time. In the lectures the problems of the subject included in the collections of problems will be solved in a participatory way and discussion of results and resolution methods will be exposed. Practices will be held in a computer room. They will have two parts, an exhibition, where the teacher will explain the tasks to be performed and some personal work of students.

5. ASSESSMENT METHODOLOGY

To pass the course will require to pass independently both the theoretical exam an the practices.
