The subject is organized in two related parts, theory and practice.
Theorectical
lectures will be given to introduce main concepts and subjects
needed to acquire the competences, skills and contents of the
course. The theory will be conducted through master classes,
including sessions of activities and resolution of questions with
which to evaluate the student's participation in the subject.
The practical part will be held in the computer lab. At every
session, a set of well-defined practical guides will be provided,
to allow the student to to acquire the skills of Unix. These
guides will also propose a set of exercises to be evaluated
individually during the next session.
Students with special educational needs should contact the Student Attention Service (Servicio de Atención y Ayudas al Estudiante) in order to receive the appropriate academic support
To pass the subject, the student must obtain a minimum score of 5 (out of 10) on theory and practices and participation, as well as a minimum total score of 5 points (out of 10) by adding each of the parts according to their percentages and the criteria as specified bellow:
Theory (60%) + Practice (30%) + Participation (10%)
The mark obtained by the student during the academic year,
both in practice and class participation and seminars, will be
retained for the extraordinary examination sessions.
