3. CONTENT DESCRIPTION

1. Law, as a form of social organization, and human rights.
2. Foundations of human rights: natural law, positivism, other theories.
3. The historical processes of human rights: positivization, generalization, internationalization and specification.
4. Legal recognition of rights by democratic political power.
5. Generations of rights and models of rule of law.
6. Legal theory of fundamental rights (I): Fundamental rights as a normative subsystem within the legal system.
7. Legal theory of fundamental rights (II): General characteristics of the constitutional rights.
8. Legal theory of fundamental rights (III): Legal values as the reference of fundamental rights: freedom, equality, certainty and solidarity.
9. Legal theory of fundamental rights (IV): Interpretation and application of fundamental rights.
10. The new rights: the right to peace, the right to cultural identity, the gender rights, the right to reconciliation of work and family live and the rights of universal accessibility.
