4. COURSE DESCRIPTION AND TEACHING METHODOLOGY

For expository class sessions in a large group, lectures will be used to discuss the contents presented in this guide by exposing the theory and general examples, simultaneously stimulating student participation in class.

For the classes in groups of practices will be solved practical cases, as established in the contents developed of the subject. The cases must be worked by the students prior to their collective resolution in class, through questions, debate and creative work, proposing the resolution of the problems raised.

Students with special educational needs should contact the Student Attention Service (Servicio de Atención y Ayudas al Estudiante) in order to receive the appropriate academic support

5. ASSESSMENT METHODOLOGY

To pass the subject it will be necessary to obtain 5 points as a result of the qualifications obtained between the exam and the practices elaborated during the course, being able to improve the qualification with the attendance to class.

It will be essential to obtain at least 3.5 on 8 points in the theoretical exam. Below this score, the grade obtained with the practices made during the course or with class attendance will not be considered.

With respect to the accomplishment of cases and exercises in practical classes, it will be necessary the attendance to class for its realization and resolution. The grade obtained with the performance of the practices proposed in class (a maximum of 2 points) will be added to the grade obtained in the theoretical exam. The qualification of the practices will be valid for the May and July summons of the academic year.

Attendance to class and active participation will be valued with a maximum of 1 point, provided that at least 80% of the checks carried out by the teacher are not exceeded, however, it is not an essential requirement to be able to pass the subject.
