4. COURSE DESCRIPTION AND TEACHING METHODOLOGY

The main objective of this course is for the student to know the process of internationalization of the national productive system, to identify the set of factors that have determined it, of an aggregated nature and of other macroeconomic status and, in addition, learn to value the opportunities and Threats that both the different export markets and the new technologies of information and communication offer, specifically the Internet.

To do this, we first analyze recent trends that identify the trade flows that the Spanish economy maintains with foreign clients / suppliers and the macroeconomic variables that influence the international projection of the national productive system. Secondly, we study the phases of the process of internationalization of the Spanish economy and the different techniques that allow us to identify international strategic markets.

Finally, different scenarios of the global market are characterized, instruments of support to internationalization and policies of external promotion promoted by community, national and regional institutions are identified.

The classes will be expositive in which the subject will be considered, starting from an introductory scheme that allows the logical development of the exhibition. Subsequently, the different parts that make up the subject matter are explained and, finally, the main conclusions will be obtained on which the teacher will make the students to reflect. Also, current issues related to the subject matter will be raised. The practical classes will be organized in two different ways. A first type, will focus on the resolution and discussion of practical cases on the process of internationalization of Andalusian companies, and a second type, will consist of the discussion of documents, reporting, presentation of papers and attendance at conferences on issues related to the subject.

5. ASSESSMENT METHODOLOGY

The student's final grade will be obtained by performing the weighted average of "Active participation in class", "Mastery of theoretical and practical knowledge of the material" and "Delivery and exhibition of works" with a weight of 10%; 75% and 15%, respectively, provided that the grade obtained in "Theoretical and practical knowledge of the subject" reaches a 4 out of 10
