3. CONTENT DESCRIPTION

The contents of the subject will revolve around the following issues:

  1. The social and cultural function of music in the postmodern era. Music and community action for social and cultural transformation. Different perspectives, research and tendencies.
  2. Musicalization of citizens and the challenges of the musical educator of conservatories in the XXIst century. Philosophical perspectives of the musical education: aesthetic musical education and critical pedagogy.

The musical educator and contemporary culture. The concepts of â€ËÅ“field â€ËÅ“and â€ËÅ“habitus’ of Pierre Bourdieu

 

4. COURSE DESCRIPTION AND TEACHING METHODOLOGY

Lectures: theory and general examples

Lectures in large group

Collective and individual tutoring: supervision of works and artistic practices and debates

5. ASSESSMENT METHODOLOGY

Attendance and participation: -Record attendance and participation. -Control of teacher.   Concepts of matter: - Analysis and commentary of a reading given by the teacher: structure, conceptual precision and written presentation will be taken into account.   Commentary of scientific paper: -Papers, cases or practical projects: originality, precision structure and conceptual work / practical projects will be taken into account.
