4. COURSE DESCRIPTION AND TEACHING METHODOLOGY

Practical sessions in the laboratory: a series of mandatory experiments will be carried out in the laboratory. The students will be responsible of all the operations that should be undertaken to control the experiences.

Seminars: They will be used to strength the knowledge of students in preparation of solutions and security in the handling of the material and reagents in the laboratory.

Practices in computer lab sessions: An introduction to the subject will be performed in this session. They will also be used to instruct the student in the searching of physical-chemical properties of the chemicals that will be used in the laboratory. Tests about the subject will be done.

Students with special educational needs should contact the Student Attention Service (Servicio de Atención y Ayudas al Estudiante) in order to receive the appropriate academic support

5. ASSESSMENT METHODOLOGY

To properly evaluate the knowledge and skills acquired in the laboratory, both a practice test and a written test will be done. A minimum mark of 4 is needed for the rest of the activities.

Evaluated skills:

  • Written exam: B1, B2, B12, P1, P3, P6
  • Escheme, procedures. B1, B2, B12, P6, P2
  • Practical test and Teacher notes. B2, P6, P1, P3, P2

The evaluation system will be applied in both ordinary and extraordinary examination calls.
