UNIT I: NURSING CARE PATIENT WITH ALTERATION OF ELIMINATION

Theme 1. Diseases affecting the urinary excretion.

Theme 2. Assessment of urinary excretion and nursing diagnoses.

Theme 3. Nursing interventions related to urinary elimination problems.

Theme 4. Diseases affecting the intestinal elimination.

Theme 5. Assessment of intestinal elimination and nursing diagnoses.

Theme 6. Nursing interventions related to bowel elimination problems.

 

UNIT II: NURSING CARE PATIENT WITH ALTERATION OF THE NEED FOR COMMUNICATION

Theme 7. Diseases affecting the need for communication.

Theme 8. Assessment of the need for communication and nursing diagnoses.

Theme 9. Nursing interventions related to communication problems.

 

UNIT III: NURSING CARE PATIENT WITH ALTERATION OF THE NEED FOR MOVEMENT

Theme 10. Diseases that affect the need for movement.

Theme 11. Assessment of movement and nursing diagnoses.

Theme 12. Nursing Interventions related to movement problems.

 

UNIT IV: NURSING CARE PATIENT WITH ALTERATION OF THE NEED FOR SECURITY (II)

Theme 13 Prevention and care of pressure ulcers.

Theme 14. Care of wounds, sutures and bandages.

4. COURSE DESCRIPTION AND TEACHING METHODOLOGY

Lectures with active student participation.

Practical workshops and seminars simulation work (case studies) in small groups.

Students individual and in-groups work. Assignments guided and supported by the e-learning web of the University of Jaen.

5. ASSESSMENT METHODOLOGY

Attendance and participation in classroom activities. 10%

Written test (examination) of knowledge: 50%

Online test: 10%

Attendance and active participation in seminars and workshops in small groups: 20%

Guided individual or group work: 20 %

 

Attendance at ALL practical classes or seminars is mandatory.

The knowledge assessment test must be overcome to consider the weight of the other aspects including the assessment of the subject.
