3. CONTENT DESCRIPTION

STANDARDIZATION, INDUSTRIAL DRAWING AND APPLICATIONS, CAD

Unit1: General representation standards in technical drawing

Introduction in the industrial Drawing.

Standards: Sheet sizes, scale of drawing, Lines in drawings.

Technical Drawing, General principles of representation

Multiview projection,auxiliary views,sectional views, sectioning(full sections,section lining,half sections,broken- out section etc)

Unit 2.- Representation standards in the manufacture of industrial products

Technical drawing, Dimensioning.

Surface Roughness representation.

Tolerancing

Tolerance dimensioning

Geometric tolerancing(Form tolerances for single and related features , Application of Geometric Tolerancing)

 

Unit 3.- Representation of standard elements

Standardized screw threads.

Standard bolts and nuts specifications.

Locknuts and Locking devices.

Fasteners, springs

Fixed links

Welding representation, Rivets.

Unit 4.- Representation of  industrial products, Cad systems.

Assembly drawings.

Unit  5 - Representation of the industrial plant and processes.

4. COURSE DESCRIPTION AND TEACHING METHODOLOGY

Once developed theory theme will be held, their corresponding practices will be done.

Students with special educational needs should contact the Student Attention Service (Servicio de Atención y Ayudas al Estudiante) in order to receive the appropriate academic support

5. ASSESSMENT METHODOLOGY

Final examination will be held in the official date. Its content will focus on theoretical, practical or theoretical-practical, corresponding to the themes developed in class .The objective of the final examination is to appreciate, if the levels of knowledge, skills and results by the student aspects has been achieved.

 

A series of individual and / or group exercises scheduled for CAD system will practice during the course. Work and / or practices will be conducted in accordance with the criteria established by teachers, and will be delivered within the deadlines set by them.

 

The course will be exceeded, if a weighted score between theory and practice gets 5 points (with a minimum of 4 points on both sides), considered approved or suspended in full in each of the calls. The note of personal work will continue during the calls of the academic year.
