4. COURSE DESCRIPTION AND TEACHING METHODOLOGY

The main support resource will be the use of the virtual platform named as ILIAS. The student will find all the necessary information to overcome successfully the course, recommended readings, problems and another material of interest. In the virtual course, different forums will be created in order to clarify different doubts on the subject.

Students with special educational needs should contact the Student Attention Service (Servicio de Atención y Ayudas al Estudiante) in order to receive the appropriate academic support

5. ASSESSMENT METHODOLOGY

For the assessment of the theoretical knowledge of the subject a theoretical written examination in the official call will be made. The mark for the theoretical part will involve 60% of the final grade. Through a written exam the CC4 competency will be evaluated. Passing this theoretical part will prove that 41, 42, 44 and 46 outcomes have been reached.

For the assessment of practical laboratory skills students must carry and present a comprehensive lab notebook where answers to the questions that arise and where should present the results obtained in the practice sessions conducted, which will be evaluated by the teacher and will correspond to 15% of the final grade. With the completion of the practice sessions, the CC4 and CT4 competencies will be evaluated. Passing this practical part will prove that 29 and 37 outcomes have been reached.

The realization of individual work (academically supervised activities) and the completion of group work will be evaluated by the teacher and will account for 15% of the final grade. With the completion of the work the CC4, CT4 and CT1 competencies will be evaluated. Passing this activities will prove that 37 outcome has been reached.

Attendance and active participation in class will be evaluated by the teacher and will account for 10% of the final grade. The final grade is a weighted mark according to the weights set forth above, but to achieve the final approved at least it is necessary to reach a mark of 4 out of 10 in the theoretical written exam.
