Lesson 1: Visions and dimensions of development
Lesson 2: Social and human development indicators
Lesson 3: Population and development
Lesson 4: The role of employment in the scheme of social and human development
The subject will be carried out as established in "Memoria de Grado" specifications, namely through theoretical lectures in large group and practical lectures.
Students with special educational needs should contact the Student Attention Service (Servicio de Atención y Ayudas al Estudiante) in order to receive the appropriate academic support
Students may opt for two grading systems which are non-exclusive (those NOT PASSING the course under A, may take B subsequently):
A) Continuous evaluation for which three exams will be programmed (maximum 6 points). One may stay in this system even if one or several exams are not passed BUT all three exams must be taken. The final grade will be the average of these three exams and a minimum grade of 3 is required to pass the subject under this option.
B) One final evaluation as indicated by UJA's official calendar (ordinary and extraordinary turns).
Both A and B includes a mandatory and practical-oriented dissertation (maximum 3 points) as well as one or several class exercises (maximum 1 point).
In consequence, those students choosing option B will depart from a minimum grade of 0 (to get a maximum grade of 6) in case they have not completed dissertation and class exercises. Those choosing B and having completed dissertation and class exercises will depart from that grade to which the final exam grade will be added. In any case the final exam for B will contain two parts (theory and practical topics) evenly weighed (50% and 50%).
Attendance to lectures is advisable but not mandatory. Attendance DOES NOT partake of the grading system in this subject.
