3. CONTENT DESCRIPTION

This course analyzes the following three topics: i) the consumer's theory and its applications, ii) the theory of the firm: production, the cost of production and the profit maximization problem in the short and the long run and, iii) industrial organization. In this last topic, we study imperfectly competitive markets such as monopoly, oligopoly and monopolistic competition.
