3. CONTENT DESCRIPTION

The contents of the subject will revolve around the four following issues:

  1. Multidimensional thinking and the role of the arts in XX1st century education: a theoretical approach.
  2. From disciplinary power/knowledge to multi, cross and transdisciplinary perspectives in Art. Learning through the arts: transference and assimilation into the curriculum.
  3. Arts and cognition. Creativity and multiple intelligences. Theoretical principles.
  1. The role of the arts in the integrated curriculum. Innovative artistic programmes in education: Learning through the arts, Zero, Mapping the beat, LOVA.
  2. Integrative educational methodologies: cooperative learning, project-based learning through projects and competency-based learning. Assessment tools: design and creation of rubrics

4. COURSE DESCRIPTION AND TEACHING METHODOLOGY

Lectures: theory and general examples

Lectures in large group

Collective and individual tutoring: supervision of works and artistic practices and debates

5. ASSESSMENT METHODOLOGY

Attendance and participation: -Record attendance and participation. -Control of teacher.   Concepts of matter: - Analysis and commentary of a reading given by the teacher: structure, conceptual precision and written presentation will be taken into account.   Commentary of scientific paper: -Papers, cases or practical projects: originality, precision structure and conceptual work / practical projects will be taken into account.
