3. CONTENT DESCRIPTION

There are not basic contents of this course. The training project in the realization of each external academic practice should set specific educational objectives and activities to develop depending of the industry or institution involved.

Consequently, contents cannot be defined because External Practices are to ensure direct relation with the agronomic, industrial and financial reality of the sector of the olive grove and oil, participating of its problem and restlessness, and collaborating in the processes and activities from the production to the commercialization. 

However the contents of practice will be defined so as to ensure the direct relation of skills acquired through their studies.

4. COURSE DESCRIPTION AND TEACHING METHODOLOGY

During the 100 contact hours, the students can further enhance their academic stud ies by the incorporation to the staff of the collaborative industry, institution or investigation center for the realization of External Practices. To do this, a collaboration agreement must be established allowing university students to perform practical training as an integral part of their curriculum or to complement of college.

During this period, students will entrust scheduled tasks to be performed under the supervision of a tutor from the company, in contact with the tutor of the University.

Students with special educational needs should contact the Student Attention Service (Servicio de Atención y Ayudas al Estudiante) in order to receive the appropriate academic support

5. ASSESSMENT METHODOLOGY

After the formalization of the educational cooperation agreement the tutor must monitor the student attendance during the total period of the External Practices. It is the responsibility of the tutor to track the practices that have under their responsibility. In addition the tutor must orient, guide, advise and evaluate the student.  The academic tutor will be inform on the performance of the activity of the student

At the end of practice the tutor from the company will perform a final report and transmit it to the academic tutor. The final report shall include, among others, the following points: tasks developed, the degree of compliance, fulfilled time, satisfaction level reached by the student and the company. This report that will evaluate the practices carried out globally.
