5.2 restoration of the coastal environment.

4. COURSE DESCRIPTION AND TEACHING METHODOLOGY

Practical Fieldwork
There will be a two days fieldtrip with the aim to (1) study the natural dynamic and its
interaction with anthropic activities in coastal environments, (2) making of
geomorphological sketches and maps, and (3) discussion about the hazards and
impacts on the coast. The fieldtrip will be previously prepared in a laboratory session
with analysis of the information available on the geology, geomorphology and geography
of the areas to be visited.

Students with special educational needs should contact the Student Attention Service (Servicio de Atención y Ayudas al Estudiante) in order to receive the appropriate academic support

5. ASSESSMENT METHODOLOGY

This course contains a set of practical activities in the field and laboratory (computer)
dealing with case studies that are prominent, so these activities will have a significant
weight in the evaluation.
Whereas the theoretical part will be evaluated mostly from the results of the written
exam, the evaluation of the practical activities will be based on different instruments as
reports, field-notes, exercises and presentations and discussions.
