3. CONTENT DESCRIPTION

The overall objective of this course is to provide students a solid knowledge in general chemistry, both in the conceptual and in applications, complementing the knowledge acquired in the course General Chemistry I: Chapter 1: ThermoChemistry Chapter 2: Chemical Kinetics Chapter 3: Principles of Chemical Equilibrium Chapter 4: Acids and Bases Chapter 5: Complex Ion Equilibrium Chapter 6: Solubility Equilibrium Chapter 7: Redox Reactions Chapter 8: Nomenclature, Structure and Reactivity of Organic Compounds

4. COURSE DESCRIPTION AND TEACHING METHODOLOGY

Lecture (Theory) : Lecture in classroom in spanish. Bibliography and exercises in english for foreing students. 2-3 Hours per week Lecture (Practice): Tutorial sessions in group about contents of the course 2 / year Hours per week Seminars: Resolution of exercices relative to the contents of the course 1-2 Hours per week Homework: Study of theoretical contents and preparation of exercices and oral presentations. 6-8 Hours per week

5. ASSESSMENT METHODOLOGY

Exam paper combined with oral presentations and homeworks.
