TEMA 2. Greek   polis.

TEMA 3. Architecture at the ancient Greece.

TEMA 4. Cult, rites and funerary practices at the ancient Greece.

TEMA 5. Ancient Greek pottery.

TEMA 6. Sculptures, paintings and pebble mosaics at the ancient Greece.

TEMA 7. Etruscan culture.

TEMA 8. Architecture at the ancient Rome.

TEMA 9. Rural settlement at the ancient Rome.

TEMA 10. Production activities at the ancient Rome.

TEMA 11. Cult, rites and funerary practices at the ancient Rome.

TEMA 12. Ancient Roman pottery.

TEMA 13. Sculptures, paintings and mosaics at the ancient Rome.

4. COURSE DESCRIPTION AND TEACHING METHODOLOGY

One topic will be taught each week. The teacher will give the students materials about the contents of each topic that we will debate together at class.

We will visit some archaeological area to understand the theoretical aspects involve in the program. This kind of activity will be completed with a short homework.

These activities will be completed with some colective works made by the own students. These works must be defended publicly at the classroom. 

Students with special educational needs should contact the Student Attention Service (Servicio de Atención y Ayudas al Estudiante) in order to receive the appropriate academic support

5. ASSESSMENT METHODOLOGY

The theoretical exam will have two main parts. The student will be able to answer a thematic question get from the program and identify the precise context of some selected pictures, including a short formal description and a critic historical comment on the most relevant information. On the other hand, students must attend the practice activities and make an individual written work about a specific aspect asked by the teacher.

The students will participate to develop a specific topic of the program with other students. This collective work must be showed in a public presentation at the end of the term.
