3. CONTENT DESCRIPTION

1. Cognitive sicence and Educational Psychology. Cognitive sicence and information processing. Cognitive neuroscience and education. 

 2. Cognitive processes for learning: Information processing in kindergarten education. Specific processes and the acquisition of reading, writing, and mathematics. 

 3. Instructional Psychology applications: Psychological bases of the teaching methods for basic learnings (reading, writing, and mathematics). Risk factors for learning difficulties. Learning optimization. Assesment and intervention. 

4. COURSE DESCRIPTION AND TEACHING METHODOLOGY

Theoretical classes will follow a expository approach, but also making students to participate.

Exercices and activities will be supervised in the collective tuition hours. 

Students with special educational needs should contact the Student Attention Service (Servicio de Atención y Ayudas al Estudiante) in order to receive the appropriate academic support

5. ASSESSMENT METHODOLOGY

A requirement to pass the subject is to pass the theoretical exam (60% of the final mark). 

All "final result learnings" are evaluated in the final exam. Practice and exercices aim to evaluate results  R01c y R03c, and then competences CFB01, CFB03 and CFB07.

Eventual participation in Department research (e. g., experiments) could be considered in the final mark (once the subject is passed). As a maximum, this collaboration will be scored as 0.6 points.
