Topic 1.-The social worker in the organization. Historical evolution. Charles Booth and the poverty line. NGO   as non-profit companies. Management and human resources support. Public companies with a social purpose. New multi-organizational frameworks .The professional work teams to solve problems and the implementation of intervention plans. The quality of service and resource management. Public and private organizations. Differences in the countries of the European Union.

Topic 2. Professional performance in the private sector.  Corporate Social Responsibility from the perspective of social work. History of social responsibility of business. The organization of socially responsible companies. The new idea of â€â€âÅ Æ’1;â€â€âÅ Æ’1;business organization. Conceptualization and theoretical framework of CSR The social balance. Type indicators. Information and corporate transparency. Global Reporting Initiative and other indicators. The code of conduct. Topic 3. The occupational health and prevention of occupational riskes. Prevention systems and models. Individual Protection Equipment. Accountability and responsibility for occupational health. Prevention legislation. National and EU framework. Special cases. Workshop schools and trade houses. Health and work in the case of young people.

 

4. COURSE DESCRIPTION AND TEACHING METHODOLOGY


Lectures and group work will be alternated. Practical activities include establishing a "social balance" and this must be applied. An guide of intervention strategy on social responsibility and health must be made . Will be necessary to made an perform an analysis on occupational risks and to define the current role and potentially the social worker organization in CSR and Health.
