3. CONTENT DESCRIPTION

  1. Ten principles of Economics.
  2. The market forces of supply and demand. Elasticity.
  3. Firm: costs and production.
  4. Firms in competitive markets.
  5. The economics of the public sector: efficiency, externalities and no competitive markets.
  6. The data of macroeconomics. Measuring a nation's income.
  7. Production and growth.
  8. Saving, investment, and the financial system.
  9. Unemployment and inflation.
  10. The macroeconomics of open economics.

4. COURSE DESCRIPTION AND TEACHING METHODOLOGY

Theoretical and practical knowledge will be discussed in the lectures in spanish language.

Students will have to solve a list of exercises and deliver the proposed activities in english languages within the established deadlines. This information will be given to the students in tutorial hours last week of January.

5. ASSESSMENT METHODOLOGY

The assessment methodology wil be:

  1. Exam: 70% of the final evaluation. You need to pass it.
  2. Delivery of the solutions of a list of problems and delivery of proposed works: 30% of the final evaluation.
