Transportation and deposition of sediments. Sedimentary rocks:textures. Types of sedimentary rocks: terrigenous sedimentaryrocks, chemical/biochemical, organic sedimentary rocks, others.Sedimentary depositional structures. Sedimentary facies.Environmental analysis: terrestrial environments, marineenvironments, transitional environment. Stratigraphic units.Unconformities. Basin analysis
Lectures (theory): 2 hours per week
Laboratory and practical problems: 2 hours per week
Stratigraphic and sedimentological field trip: 1 day

Exam paper (60% of the total score: 30% theory and 30% practice)combined with evaluation of the seminars-presentations (30 %) andwritten report of field activities (10%)
