real case)
2.1 Preparation of the requirements document as guidance
document
2.2 . Conceptual design ( entity relationship model ):
Definition of entities and relationships, Defining
constraints and model documentation
2.3 . Relational Logic Design : Conversion NM relationships
, validation rules and
default values, model documentation .
2.4.GeneratingDDL andDMLfor theselectedDBMS.
The activities will include theoretical lectures where
assumptions will be discussed and will resolve database from a
requirements document.
Hands-on activities include the implementation of a
relational database (Oracle DBMS) and the realization of queries to
the database and the data dictionary.
Students with special educational needs should contact the Student Attention Service (Servicio de Atención y Ayudas al Estudiante) in order to receive the appropriate academic support
To pass the course, you must obtaina scoreof 5.0after addingthe
notesofthe following:
- 70 % of grade theory exam (A minimum of 5 out of 10 is
required in this exam)
- 25 % of the grade of the practical (No minimum required in
this part)
- 5% of the note of harvesting and monitoring the
theoretical and practical
The practical part of the course consists of :
- Scripts practices . Continuous assessment rated PASS /
FAIL . If for any valid reason , the student is unable to attend
continuously to those classes, will notify the beginning of the
semester the teacher responsible for the group , in order to find a
solution that satisfies both parties
- Draft Databases: Note number 0 .. 10
A call shall be deemed exhausted when the student has
completed all the assessment procedures provided for in the
Teaching Guide , including the final proof , if any
During theacademicsemester,tests may be conductedevaluation
studentsofpart of the syllabus, in agreement withthe majority
ofstudents.
