4. COURSE DESCRIPTION AND TEACHING METHODOLOGY

The lectures are intended to explain the theory of the subject, explain the basics of the practice and solve some practical examples on the blackboard. It will be used as a support tool a video projector.

There will be two types of practical classes: i) Practical cases and solution in computer labs (f inancial calculation with excel) and ii) Exhibition of group works and discussion of the work presented by another group.

Students with special educational needs should contact the Student Attention Service (Servicio de Atención y Ayudas al Estudiante) in order to receive the appropriate academic support

5. ASSESSMENT METHODOLOGY

The theory can be overcomed by either continuous assessment (3 or 4 tests throughout the course) or by a test on the official date of the examination, at the end of the course. Once it is choosen the continuous assessment system, the theoretical garde will be the obtained by those tests.

The practice will be overcome by a single test on the official date of the examination, at the end of the course.

For extraordinary call, the highest grade in the exam is 9, which will be added the grade obtained in the exhibition and discussion of group work (up to 1 point), if the student has made the gruop work.

Both the grade obtained in the theoretical part and in the exhibition and discussion of group work will be maintained during the academic year 2014/2015.
