3. CONTENT DESCRIPTION

Students will have to write an MA Thesis (TFM) on one of the three major areas of study identified in this program:

  1. TEFL
  2. Literatures and cultures in English.
  3. English linguistics.

This thesis will be supervised by one of the lecturers of the program, and will have the length and characteristics that the supervisoir estalbishes. It will be presented to a pannel through skype (or any other similar tool) or -should the student so wish- in a presential manner.

4. COURSE DESCRIPTION AND TEACHING METHODOLOGY

Students will write an MA thesis, with a clear scholarly focus, supervised by a lecturer from the MA program. There will be -to this end- individualized tutorials. Also, the student will carry out an important amount of autonomous and individual work.

Students with special educational needs should contact the Student Attention Service (Servicio de Atención y Ayudas al Estudiante) in order to receive the appropriate academic support

5. ASSESSMENT METHODOLOGY

The MA thesis supervisor will produce a report permitting the public defense of the wrk. This previous approval will be a conditio sine qua non. Afterwards, the candidate will present and defend his/her work in public in forn of a pannel of specialists, who will discuss, question and examine the main characteristics of the work and will ases the candidate ability to express and argue in such a context. The quality of oral English skills will be particularly assessed.
