  1. An approach to the major theoretical and critical schools for the study of literatures in English:

    c. Cultural Materialism

  2. Introduction to the study of popular culture: fiction, cinema, the popular song.

4. COURSE DESCRIPTION AND TEACHING METHODOLOGY

All acftivities and the methodologies involved will be adapted to online teaching.

  1. Study of class materials plus problem solving: 45 hours.
  2. Participation in weekly discusions on clas subjetcs: 15 hours
  3. Assignments: 15 hours.

5. ASSESSMENT METHODOLOGY

In order to be positively assessed online participation in class discusions must be original, varied, meaningful and based on the scientific concepts examined in class materials.

Assignments have to be original, solidly based on the academic concepts studied and show at least a B2 level of English. Plagiarism will be severely penalized.
