As this course is totally online, autonomous learning is essential. In order to facilitate it, several learning modules have been designed in which several exercises and self-assessment tests are integrated.
Students with special educational needs should contact the Student Attention Service (Servicio de Atención y Ayudas al Estudiante) in order to receive the appropriate academic support
Assessment will be based on the fulfilment of practical activities (20%), which will be sent through the virtual teaching platform, the use of ICTs (participation in forums, use of subtitling programmes, etc.) (20%), and the elaboration of a final project (60%).
The final project will consist in the choice of a video clip containing diverse translation problems, the subtitling of the video clip, the elaboration of a commentary on the translation process, translation problems found, strategies used to solve those translation problems and technical aspects and subtitling conventions.
