3. CONTENT DESCRIPTION

4. COURSE DESCRIPTION AND TEACHING METHODOLOGY

Accordingly to the Acreditation Memory of this Master, this subject is divided into two parts:

1) An initial part to be held at the end of the first quarter (2ECTS) in which the student will receive basic information about the structure of these types of work required contents, etc.. In addition, students will develop a proposal for Master's Thesis supported by a teacher of the Master, for which it must proceed with the selection of objectives, preliminary review of backgrounds, work plan and expected outcomes.

2) Implementation of the project in accordance with TFM planning proposal once it has been approved by the Academic Committee.

Students with special educational needs should contact the Student Attention Service (Servicio de Atención y Ayudas al Estudiante) in order to receive the appropriate academic support

5. ASSESSMENT METHODOLOGY

The evaluation criteria will attend:

a) Aspects of TFM own:

  • Clarity in the general approach to work.
  • Adaptation of the structure and content of the type of work.
  • Clarity in establishing the background and objectives.
  • Adequacy of materials, methods, procedures and criteria used.
  • Correspondence between the goals outlined in the original proposal TFM (approved at the time by the Academic Committee) and discussion of the results.
  • Adequacy of the conclusions on the results.
  • Employment, if appropriate, relevant and updated bibliography.
  • Adjustment and adaptation to the content standards for each of the documentaries paragraphs.

b) Formal Aspects

  • Quality in structure of the work.
  • Quality of drafting and technical lexicon.
  • Quality presentation of tables, figures and maps.
  • Quality presentation of the literature (citations and references).

c) Issues relating to defense work:

  • Clarity in the presentation of work. Appropriate vocabulary is used in every circumstance and proper use of technical vocabulary is done when necessary.
  • Degree of synthesis and adaptation of the structure of the exhibition.
  • Quality support materials used.
  • Maturity and knowledge demonstrated in the debate following the exposure.

The final grade will take into account the report prepared by the tutor of the project, as indicated in the corresponding Evaluation System section.
