Unit 1. Numbers and functions. Derivation and integration. Sequences and series
Unit 2. Linear algebra and analylic geometry

Unit 4. Vector calculus

Unit 6. Fourier analysis
Unit 7. Statistics and probability
Unit 8. Numerical methods
Lectures: 62 hours, 93 hours of autonomous work (homework)
Activities and problems classes: 36 hours, 54 hours of autonomous work (homework)
Classes in a computer lab: 22 hours, 33 hours of autonomous work. They will be devoted to study Unit 8 with the use of the software Mathematica.
Students with special educational needs should contact the Student Attention Service (Servicio de Atención y Ayudas al Estudiante) in order to receive the appropriate academic support
Ordinary examination
a) Final exam with two parts, corresponding to each term. Score: 0-6 points, 0-3 on each part. Passing score: 1 point on each part.
Mid-term exam: Score: 0-3 points. Passing score: 2 points. To achieve a passing score in the mid-term exam means no need to take the first part of the final exam.
b) Exam in a computer lab. Score: 0-2 points. Alternatively the student can take some tests in the period of classes.
c) Oral presentations. Score: 0-2 points.
Extraordinary examination
a) Final exam. Score: 0-6 points. Passing score: 2 points.
b) Exam in a computer lab. Score: 0-2 points.

Final Score for Ordinary and Extraordinary examinations
The final score is obtained by summing the scores corresponding to a) and b). It will be added the score from c) if the student got the passing score of a).
Alternatively, the final score can be 8/6 times the score of a) plus the score of b).
