3. CONTENT DESCRIPTION

-Literary sources, methods and technics used to know the Roman history.

-We´ll study the relationship between civitas and its hinterland applied to the Roman archaeology and other aspects connected with the Roman conquest of Iberia.

-We´ll try to analyze the social and economic aspects associated with the Roman material culture.

-We´ll approach to the political and ideological Roman beliefs through the artistic, religious and funerary  demonstrations.

4. COURSE DESCRIPTION AND TEACHING METHODOLOGY

The teacher will give the students the contents of each topic that we will debate together at class. These classes will be completed with some individual works made by the own students.

We will visit some archaeological area to understand the theoretical aspects involve in the program. This kind of activity will be completed with a short homework.

The individual class will be oriented towards resolve different doubts and progress with the research work that each student must be showed at the end of the course.

Students with special educational needs should contact the Student Attention Service (Servicio de Atención y Ayudas al Estudiante) in order to receive the appropriate academic support

5. ASSESSMENT METHODOLOGY

The theoretical exam will have two main parts. The student will be able to answer a thematic question get from the program and identify the precise context of five selected images, including a short formal description and a critic historical comment on the most relevant information. On the other hand, students must attend the practice activities and make an individual written work about a specific aspect choose of the program. This personal work must be showed in a public presentation.
