In the theoretical sessions students are expected to participate. Some of the students might even optionally present some of their translations in class. In the practical sessions, the students' protagonism is even larger, since their particpation is essential for the normal development of the sessions. They must participate for the correction of the practical activities and in the discussions to which the different activities could give rise. For students to be able to complete the course successfully, an upper-intermediate or advanced level both in English and Spanish is required.
Students with special educational needs should contact the Student Attention Service (Servicio de Atención y Ayudas al Estudiante) in order to receive the appropriate academic support
Attendance and participation will be taken into account only if attendance reaches at least 75% of the total number of hours. If that is not the case, the weight of the exam will be 60%, whereas essay-like commentaries and oral presentations will represent 40% of the final mark. For students to be able to pass the course, the result of the final exam mut be at least 4.
