1. Democracy and participation. Concepts and limits. Political participation, citizen involvement and social participation.

2. Levels and types of participation. Participation in public policy. Organs and channels of participation.

3. Associations, Social Movements and Volunteering.

4. Participatory methodologies. Participatory Action Research and Socio-Cultural animation (PAR and SCA).

5. Concept, origin and nature of the Socio-Cultural Animation. Intervention in Social Work and the SCA. Social intervention in groups and communities. Methods and Techniques for the intervention groups.
